Levi B. “Bud” Haldeman, age 83 of Paradise, passed away at the Lancaster General Hospital on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. He was the loving husband of Joanne E. “Josie” Harsh Haldeman for 58 years this September 2nd. He was born in Kinzers, son of the late Harry & Mary Anna Charles Haldeman. He was a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church of Paradise. In the past he had worked for John Hoober as a truck driver and millworker, carpenter for the former Denlinger Inc. of Paradise and in his retirement he provided transportation to the amish community. He was a family man, a patient man and loved taking care of his home. He enjoyed motorcycles, NASCAR, nature and jigsaw puzzles. Bud’s favorite verse was “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. Surviving besides his wife is a daughter, Lori A. wife of Douglas Green of Drumore, 3 grandchildren: Amanda Brown, Joshua & Chad Green, 4 great grandchildren: Jackson & Everligh Brown, Pearl & Jayvin Green, 4 siblings: Harry husband of Shirley Haldeman of Ephrata, Mary Lou Canfield of Stevens, Nancy, Paul husband of Jackie Haldeman of Quarryville. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Frank & Donald “Butch” Haldeman.
A graveside service will take place at the Old Leacock Cemetery, corner of Old Leacock Road & Old Philadelphia Pike, Ronks, PA on Friday, June 7th at 1 p.m. with Pastor Chris Lenhart officiating.
