Eileen B. “Sis” Stoner, age 84, of Paradise, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. She was the wife of James H. Stoner for over 61 years. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Allen G. and Marion Topper Brackbill. She was a member of St Anthony of Padua Church in Lancaster. She was a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and Immaculata College. She assisted her husband in their business, James H. Stoner Builders. She enjoyed flowers and her garden and carried that with her when she worked at the former Shreiner’s Flowers and Vintage Gallery. She loved her dog, Pug #6, her grandchildren, and spending time at the family cabin in Pine Grove Furnace. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 children: Sue A. wife of David A. Stoltzfus of Sarasota, FL, James A. Stoner, Shari M. wife of Patrick T. Cosgrove, both of Paradise, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Brackbill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St Anthony of Padua Church, 501 E. Orange Street, Lancaster on Monday, March 4 at 11 a.m. with Father Steven Arena officiating. There will be a viewing on Sunday, March 3 at the Shivery Funeral Home, 3214 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise from 6 to 8 p.m. Final Commendation and Farewell will take place in Saint Anthony’s Cemetery, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
