Henry K. Umble, Jr., age 85, of Plant City, Florida, formerly of Atglen, PA, passed away following a brief illness at his home on Thursday, January 31, 2019. He was the husband of the late Martha G. Engel Umble, who passed away on September 25, 2013. He was born in Atglen, son of the late Henry & Beulah Stutzman Umble. He was a member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church, and attended the Church on the Rock of Plant City. Henry delivered fuel oil for many years, first for TC Medford, and later, Carlos Leffler. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, gardening, music, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Gap Male Chorus. He also volunteered for Mennonite Central Committee, Mennonite Disaster Service and Habitat for Humanity. He is survived by 2 children: Steven husband of Carolyn Umble of Plant City, FL and Linda Umble of Leola, 2 granddaughters: Danielle Principe & Mikayla Bogulski, 3 siblings: Janet L. Calhoun of Oxford, Daryl R. husband of Lynn Porter Umble of Douglassville, PA, Sharon L. Stoltzfus of Gordonville. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, James & John Umble. He will be greatly missed by his faithful Redbone Coonhound, Sam. Funeral service will take place from the Maple Grove Mennonite Church, 549 Swan Road, Atglen, PA on Tuesday, February 12th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until time of service. Pastors Stephen Crane and Mike Lusby will be officiating. Interment will be in the Millwood Mennonite Cemetery.
