Mary L. Kita Marvin, age 62, of Quarryville, PA passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at her home. She was the wife of Ray “Butch” Marvin. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Robert Sr. and Ruby Clements Kita. Mary attended both Wesley Church in Quarryville and LCBC in Manheim. Mary was a follower of Jesus, an amazing mother, incredible mom-mom, friend to many and her husband’s best friend for 43 years, 5 months, 11 days and was a real hot-rodder at heart. She filled her life by playing, encouraging and teaching children and was a preschool helper for 26 years. To quote Mary, “God’s Got This” and “I hope to see you on the other side” (Heaven). In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 children: Shawn B. Marvin of Quarryville, Joshua R. husband of Kayla Carter Marvin of Christiana, 3 grandchildren: Carter, RJ and in route, Ember Mary, and 5 siblings: Donna wife of the late Tom Rodgers of Lancaster, Carol Kita, Tony husband of Joy Kita both of New Holland, Rich husband of Kerri Kita of Coatesville, Chris husband of Carrie Kita of Narvon. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Kita. A memorial service will take place from Wesley Church, 1104 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville, on Saturday, February 2 at 10:30 a.m. with a greeting time and meal to follow. At Mary’s request, her favorite preacher will be officiating. If you knew Mary, you would know she would want you to dress comfortably for her service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mary’s memory payable to Children’s Outreach Ministry (Preschool) and mailed to Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA 17566.
