Peter S. Rubincam, age 58, of Todd, PA, formerly of Parkesburg, PA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. He was the husband of Beverly A. Shivery Rubincam, with whom he celebrated 6 years of marriage on June 30th. He was born in Coatesville, PA, son of Donald A. husband of Mary Lou Conner Rubincam of Ronks, and the late Joy Reynolds Rubincam. He was an active member of the Beavertown Bible Church, Todd, PA and in the past he was a member of the Parkesburg Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Octorara High School, class of 1979 and West Chester University in 1984. In the past he had worked for Danby Lumber Company of Kennett Square. He loved his Country and was proud to be an American. Peter enjoyed the mountains, hunting especially bird hunting with his beloved Ruby, boating especially speed boats and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was a volleyball coach for the Lanchester Blast Volleyball Club and the Huntingdon Bearcats Middle School Team. Surviving besides his wife are 2 sons: Jason P. husband of Misty Irwin Wood of Christiana, Matthew P. husband of Bridget May Wood of Gap, 4 grandchildren: Domonik, Elyse, Owen & Josie, 2 sisters: Jody Miles of Lancaster, Beth wife of John Haslett of Mooresville, NC and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will take place at the Parkesburg Methodist Church, 411 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA on Saturday, February 9th at 11 a.m. with a time to greet the family from 10 a.m. until time of service. Pastors Mark Beideman and Jeff Knepper will be officiating. A second service will take place from the Beavertown Bible Church, 17758 New Fording Road, Todd, PA 16685, on Sunday, February 10th at 2 p.m. with a time to greet the family from 1 p.m. until time of service. There will also be a time to greet the family at the Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA on Friday, February 8th from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Beavertown Bible Church.
The location of the Visitation scheduled for Friday, February 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. has been changed to Chantry Place, 15 North Bridge Street, Christiana, PA (rather than at the funeral home).
