January 4th, 2020 Heaven gained another angel. Kaydien Angel Ortiz Benner entered Heaven early Saturday morning. Born in Lancaster on October 28, 2018, Kaydien was the son of Luis Ortiz and Amber Benner of Mohnton. He is survived by a brother, Yangel J. Ortiz, maternal grandparents: Tammy Gladwim fiancée of Preston Lindeman of Terry Hill, David K. Benner of Gap, paternal grandparents: Valeciana Rosado fianceée of Carlos Pagan of Puerto Rico, Angel Luis Ortiz of Rhode Island, and great-grandmother Jean L. Hershey formerly of Gap. He is in Heaven with his great-grandparents Nelson Benner, Margaret Benner, and Warren and JoAnn Toothman Oswald watching over his mother and father along with everyone else grieving the loss of his beautiful soul. He was loved and will be missed by all his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kaydien loved spending time with his parents and traveling to new places. He enjoyed going to the park, going shopping and he loved going to the buffet. Kaydien’s favorite place to go for sleepovers was his grandma and grandpa’s house. Idja Ferguson and Morgan Lindeman were Godparents of Kaydien. He also loved to wear Idja’s hats and always fell asleep snuggling with Morgan, his “Meme”.
Although Kaydien lived a short life, it was a beautiful one. Kaydien will be waiting above with his favorite ball to throw with his cousins, Dani and Raven- his two favorite playmates. Long live this young soul. Rest in peace, Kaydien, until Mommy and Daddy come to you.
There will be a memorial service at the former Kinzer Mennonite Church, 45 N. Kinzer Road, Kinzers on Saturday, January 11th at 11:30 a.m. with a greeting time from 10:30 until time of service. Pastor Dwight Groff will be officiating.
